He has been appointed by the Chief Justice of Connecticut as an attorney trial referee and by the Chief Judge of the Federal District Court as a Special Master. He is a frequent lecturer on trial practice for the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations, past President and Board Member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Appointed to the American Board of Trial Advocates. Listed in "The Best Lawyers in America."

Attorney Piazza attended Seton Hall (B.A.); Fordham University (J.D.), and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1972, The U.S. Court of Appeals in 1974, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1975.
